Partial obedience is disobedience,,,,,,

Greetings!

God has been teaching me some important lessons lately.  And I am finally paying attention!!  Through the trials and tribulations I have been going through the past few years God has been trying to show me what He wants me to do and I have not been completely following Him.  But that is now changing.  Let me explain.

I have felt a calling for many years to become a minister, a pastor, but I have not moved forward on that.  I have only been partially obedient to the Lord.  I have been very active in church.  I sing for the Lord.  I volunteer in out-reach programs.  I talk opening about Jesus.  But I have not moved forward in becoming an ordained minister.  I have been partially obedient.  I have done the things in the church that He wanted me to do, but I stopped short of doing EVERYTHING He wanted me to do.

I have said it before, sometimes God has to slap me upside the head to get my attention.  Believe me, He has done just that.  Like a ton of bricks coming at me at 90 miles an hour, He has got my attention now!!  I will be moving forward to get the education I need to become an ordained Minister.  I will preach where God leads me to preach.  I do not know where that will be.  I don't think He is going to show me until I step out on faith and get the education.  I have to obey this command first.

So when I talk to my employment specialist in the morning I am going to find out how to go about getting financial assistance to get my degree in bible studies and theology.  I am going to take that next step so I will be completely obedient to God.  I am going to move forward in my quest after God's heart to be completely obedient to Him and Him alone.

Now that I have determined myself to listen to the Holy Spirit and move forward in what God wants me to do, I have felt a peace come over me like none other.  I can walk through this valley of trials and come out the other side victorious in Jesus!!

Are you truly listening to God?  Are you obedient to Him?  Or have you only been partially obedient?  God has a purpose in life for each and everyone of us.  We must listen to Him and be completely obedient.  Partial obedience is just not enough.  Partial obedience is disobedience.
